The Orange Bird Club has landed

Orange Bird has launched its new customer club with Flub, starting with a soft private launch at a shisa nyama event at The Victoria in Kelham Island, Sheffield. It gives Orange Bird a new way to bring its customers closer, with better access, special perks and plenty more planned as the club grows.
Something extra for the people who love Orange Bird
Orange Bird has always cared about the relationship it has with its customers, and wanted to find new ways to give people more for being part of what they do.
The idea wasn't to create a points scheme or give people another app to download. They wanted something that felt like Orange Bird: a club with genuinely worthwhile reasons to join, which could grow, change and become more interesting over time.
So, they made one.
Starting with the good wine
The Orange Bird Club starts with a particularly good reason to join: members can get Orange Bird's finest bottle of wine for half its usual price.
That's the first perk, rather than the perk. Orange Bird is planning an ever-growing and evolving mix of benefits, including priority booking, early access to retail, quarterly perks, special treats and plenty more along the way.
That's important to what they want the club to become. Rather than repeating the same discount forever, membership can keep giving people new reasons to be glad they're part of it.
A community brought together around a shisa nyama
The Orange Bird Club got its first proper outing at a shisa nyama event at The Victoria in Kelham Island, Sheffield. It was deliberately a soft, private launch ahead of introducing the club to Orange Bird's wider audience.
And it was a pretty good way to start.
The night was full of fun, incredible food and very happy people. Amongst all of that, the technology simply melted away. Guests were joining the club there and then on their phones, with the whole process measured in second; from scanning a QR code, through paying, to their membership card landing in their digital wallet.
There was no app to download and no lengthy process to explain. Scan, join, membership in your phone. Back to the food.
That's exactly how we think technology in hospitality should feel. Flub did its job without becoming the event, while Orange Bird got on with doing what Orange Bird does brilliantly.
Now it gets bigger
The evening at The Victoria wasn't the full public launch. It was the first outing: a chance to put the club into the hands of real customers, welcome its first members and see the whole thing working in the wild.
Next, Orange Bird will introduce the club to its wider audience and start building on what membership means. That could be a new perk one month, first dibs on something the next, priority access, a surprise, or something they haven't thought of yet.
Flub gives Orange Bird a simple way to manage its club, take payments, deliver perks and offers, communicate with members and keep developing the membership over time. Guests get something worth being part of, while Orange Bird gets a direct way to keep that relationship going beyond any single visit.
The Orange Bird Club is live. Now they get to have some fun with it.
Your place could have a club, too
Flub helps restaurants, bars, pubs, cafés and other hospitality brands create and run their own customer clubs, without points, stamps or another app for guests to download.
Give people a reason to join, then keep giving them reasons to be glad they did.
